Terms of Use
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Use govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the operating team behind the “What was the first question you asked AI?” service (the “Operator”) and users of first-ai-question.com (the “Service”).
Article 2 (Description of the Service)
1. The Service is a non-commercial archival project that lets users voluntarily submit the first question they ever asked an AI (a “Submission”) and makes it publicly viewable alongside other users' Submissions.
2. Along with the question itself, users may optionally add a name or nickname, nationality, the AI tool they used, and a short message.
3. The Service will stop accepting new Submissions at 2029-01-01 00:00 UTC. Submissions already published will, in principle, continue to be archived and displayed after that date.
Article 3 (Effect and Changes to These Terms)
1. These Terms take effect once posted on the Service or otherwise announced to users.
2. The Operator may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law. Changes will be announced on the Service at least 7 days before taking effect (30 days if the change is unfavorable to users).
Article 4 (Submissions and User Obligations)
1. Users must only submit content they personally wrote, and by submitting confirm the Submission is their own and consent to its public display.
2. Users may not submit content that: defames or attacks others; contains abusive, hateful, or discriminatory language; is obscene or harmful to minors; includes another person's personal information without consent; is advertising or spam; infringes intellectual property rights; or otherwise violates applicable law.
3. The Operator may remove or hide any Submission that violates the above or otherwise conflicts with the purpose of the Service, without prior notice.
4. Users under the age of 14 may not use the Service.
Article 5 (Copyright and License to Submissions)
1. Copyright in a Submission belongs to the user who wrote it.
2. By submitting, the user grants the Operator a free, non-exclusive license — without time or territorial limit — to store, reproduce, publicly display, transmit, distribute, and reformat the Submission for the purposes of the Service (archiving, public exhibition, promotion, and de-identified research/statistics), without distorting its original meaning.
3. This license ends once a deletion request under Article 9 has been processed, except to the extent copies have already been distributed and cannot reasonably be recalled.
Article 6 (Restriction or Suspension of Service)
1. The Operator may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, technical failure, force majeure, or similar unavoidable reasons.
2. The Operator may change or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
1. The content of Submissions reflects the views of individual users, not the Operator.
2. The Operator is not liable for service disruptions caused by force majeure or by a user's own fault, absent intent or gross negligence on the Operator's part.
3. The Operator does not guarantee any particular outcome a user may expect from the Service (such as permanent preservation of a Submission or continued accessibility at any given time), and is not liable for related damages absent intent or gross negligence.
Article 8 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)
1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, based on the Operator's location rather than the physical location of any server. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of a user's own country of residence, where applicable, may take precedence.
2. The Operator and users will first attempt to resolve any dispute arising from use of the Service through good-faith discussion.
3. If no resolution is reached, either party may bring the matter before a court of competent jurisdiction as determined under applicable law.
Article 9 (Deletion or Editing of a Submission)
Users may request the deletion or editing of their Submission by emailing their Deletion ID together with their name or nickname to firstAIquestion@gmail.com. Further details are set out in the Privacy Policy and in the “How to Delete Your Submission” guidance on the Service.
